The nominations for the 90th Academy awards were announced Tuesday morning by Girls Trip star Tiffany Haddish and War for the Planet of the Apes’ Andy Serkis at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, California.

Guillermo del Toro’s The Shape of Water continued its awards show streak and led the pack with 13 nominations, including best picture.

Jimmy Kimmel will be hosting the Academy Awards for the second time. The show will air live on ABC on Sunday, March 4.

2018 SAG Awards Nominations

Hollywood awards season carries on with the 2018 SAG Awards on Sunday, Jan. 21. The show, known for recognizing actors for their work in TV and film, is presented by the Screen Actors Guild and airs at 8 p.m. on both TBS and TNT.

SAG Award winner and Oscar winner Morgan Freeman will receive the SAG Life Achievement Award.

The first-ever host of the 24th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards will be actress Kristen Bell (“The Good Place”).

BAFTA Award Nominations 2018

Call Me By Your Name

The Bafta ceremony is scheduled for Feb. 18 at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

The Baftas are often regarded as a crude bellwether for the Academy Awards, as there is some overlap between membership of the British film academy, which oversees the Baftas, and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which organizes the Oscars.

2012 Independent Spirit Awards Nominations

Film Independent announced the nominees for the 2011 Independent Spirit Awards this morning and “Take Shelter” and “The Artist” received the most nominations with five each. “The Descendants,” “Drive” and “Martha Marcy May Marlene” received four respectively.  Surprising nominations came for internationally financed “The Artist” in the best feature film category and George Clooney and Kirsten Dunst not receiving nominations in the lead actor categories.
