BAFTA Award Nominations 2018

Call Me By Your Name

The Bafta ceremony is scheduled for Feb. 18 at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

The Baftas are often regarded as a crude bellwether for the Academy Awards, as there is some overlap between membership of the British film academy, which oversees the Baftas, and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which organizes the Oscars.

The BAFTAs, which nominated Call Me By Your Name, Darkest Hour, Dunkirk, The Shape of Water, and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, for best film, will be handed out in London on Feb. 18. See the full list of nominees below. Read More

ACE Nominations 2018

Guillermo del Toro’s The Shape of Water, Steven Spielberg’s The Post, and Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk continue to garner recognition with the unveiling of nominees for the 68th annual ACE Eddie Awards. But with the foreseeable standouts also come works like Denis Villeneuve’s Blade Runner 2049 and Edgar Wright’s Baby Driver, films with less awards season accolades to their name.

Editors across film and television were recognized by the American Cinema Editors in the list of nominations announced Wednesday. With the film nominees, Molly’s Game and Dunkirk help round out the dramatic category, while comedy contenders includes Greta Gerwig’s Lady Bird, Craig Gillespie’s I, Tonya, and Get Out. Read More
