The biggest night in television is almost here!

Today co-host and The Voice host Carson Daly and The Mindy Project writer, actress and executive producer Mindy Kaling announced the 66th Primetime Emmy Awards nominations from Television Academy headquarters in North Hollywood, Calif., Thursday. Television Academy chairman/CEO Bruce Rosenblum joined them onstage.

More than 16,000 voting members filled out nominating ballots between June 9-June 20.

The winners will be announced on Monday, Aug. 25, during a ceremony at the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles. The show will be broadcast live on NBC at 8 p.m. ET/ 5 p.m. PT. Late Night host and Saturday Night Live alum Seth Meyers will emcee. Read More

Nominees were selected by the Comedy Awards board which includes such big comedy and industry names as James Burrows, Stephen Colbert, Billy Crystal, Whoopi Goldberg, Brad Grey, Caroline Hirsch, Seth MacFarlane, Conan O’Brien, Don Rickles, Joan Rivers, Jay Roach, Chris Rock, Ray Romano, Phil Rosenthal and Jon Stewart.

The winners of each category will be chosen by an invitation-only voting body comprised of nearly 1,000 members from the comedy community. The best viral original category will be decided in an online vote at www.thecomedyawards.com. Read More
