What’s Senator Sanders Doing

What’s Senator Sanders Doing:

* Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) plans to introduce his “Medicare for allsingle-payer healthcare bill after Congress returns in September.

Speaking to constituents in Vermont Monday, Sanders admitted that the bill is unlikely to pass the Republican-controlled Congress or be signed by President Trump.

“If we pass this thing, it’s not going to be tomorrow, it would be the most significant step forward legislatively since I suspect the creation of Social Security in the 1930s. It’s a big deal,” he said, according to The Associated Press.

* Sen. Bernie Sanders will be in Indianapolis on Monday to attend a rally focused on jobs and the economy.

The rally begins at 4 p.m. at Monument Circle and is organized by Good Jobs Nation, an organization with a mission to “end the U.S. Government‘s role as America’s leading low-wage job creator.”

“What we’re doing is trying to get people together and get them to realize what is happening in this country with the loss of jobs,” Jones said. “No matter if it’s to Mexico or to China or to wherever, we are losing good-paying jobs, and some of these companies responsible are being rewarded with government contracts.

“What we want to do is hold some of the politicians accountable for some of the campaign promises made and bring attention to the fact that something needs to change.”

* Sen. Bernie Sanders, the former Democratic presidential candidate, will join U.S. Rep. John Conyers Jr. for a town hall meeting in Detroit next week to discuss healthcare and jobs.

A single-payer health care system is likely to be on the agenda. It was at the core of the Vermont independent’s 2016 campaign, and Conyers, the Detroit Democrat, has introduced Medicare-for-all legislation every Congress since 2003.

Steve Bannon Is Not A White Nationalist

In a bizarre twist in the Steve Bannon White House puppet master narrative, Bannon called up the editor of the liberal magazine The American Prospect Tuesday afternoon and proceeded to give him what appears to be his unvarnished opinion on many things. On the other end of the line was Robert Kuttner, who then proceeded to write a story about his 25-minute conversation with one of the key, but elusive figures in the Trump White House. As Kuttner tells it, Bannon called him apparently following up on a column Kuttner had written on how China was profiting from the U.S. and North Korea’s nuclear squabbles. President Trump’s 3rd Charlottesville Press Conference

The mainstream media lies. I see the propaganda so clearly on all cable channels, talking mostly about Fox, MSNBC, and CNN.

Now I’m not a Trump supporter and I think he is way over his head. I do believe he was sent to D.C. to shake up the Establishment, which is what I regard as the unelected power structure – the big donors. big corporations, big Oil, big Pharma, etc…I’m a total lefty, but that doesn’t mean I can’t spot propaganda on both sides of the media.

As far as I’m concerned, Trump denounced the KKK, white nationalists, and and the alt-right. It’s on tape. You can hear him say it.  But the media insists that he didn’t.

There is also the issue of violence. The Right did go to the trouble of gaining a permit to protest the taking down of the statue of Robert E. Lee and from the footage I have witnessed, they were peaceful. You might not like what they stand for, but they have the right to express their opinion.

The trouble happened when they were supposed to have their rally the next day and the counter-protesters arrived, which included the anarchist group, Anti-fa, a no holds barred violent wing of the left. They won’t deny it. The press showed their work at Trump’s organization and at Berkeley where they shut down Milo Y’s, always considered hate speech.

Of course with this group on the left and some of the group on the right, who are prone to violence, of course chaos broke out. This is what Donald Trump meant by violence on both sides. The media is making it out to be that just the right side was violent. NO. That is not true.

But the bigger question is why was there such a paltry police presence? Where were the barricades? Why didn’t the police intervene in any of the fights? Because of this unpreparedness a girl was killed, and 19 people injured. Disgusting. There are theories as to why this happened. Some politically motivated, which makes it even more horrid.

But the press is wrong to focus only on one side. They are not even acknowledging the violence on the part of the left and they are unfairly painting a President as the voice of white nationalism. I see what they are trying to do. And even though Trump is a horrible President so far, it’s the powers to be, the puppeteers, that are trying to bring him down. He’s too much a threat to the status quo.

The only negative I heard in Trump’s press conference was when he said there were fine people on both sides. Well, I can’t see fine people in white supremacy, but I give him the benefit of the doubt as choosing the wrong words and trying to “act” like a politician at the same time.

That’s how I saw things. Maybe I’m imagining this, but I don’t think so.
